WRISEUP.com is a subscription-based (five bucks a year, including GST), daily blog offering a leftist/populist perspective on Canadian and world political, social, economic, cultural and environmental issues.
Initially the content will consist entirely of opinion texts, occasionally accompanied by photos and/or other art. The hardcore political content is supplemented by a smaller volume of humorous and human-interest articles.
As revenues permit, WRISEUP.com will be expanded to include more articles as well as audio and/or video podcasts.
WRISEUP.com is an interactive blog and we welcome your comments and criticism, whether favourable or not.
It is our goal to develop WRISEUP.com into a national meeting place for the 46 percent of Canadians who describe themselves politically as “centre-left”, “left-of-centre,” or “far left.”
Each subscription to WRISEUP.com will qualify the subscriber for an entry into our annual Subscriber Cashstakes with a grand prize of $1,000.00. Subscription sales will begin in February, 2009 and the first winner will be announced in April, 2009. To qualify for the Subscriber Cashstakes, subscriptions must be purchased by March 31, 2009.
