As bizarre as it may seem, there is a very strong possibility that “Mitt the Moron” Romney could win next November’s U.S. presidential election and even win control of both houses of Congress — despite his being totally unfit and incompetent for the job, and despite his being an unprosecuted serial felon.
As governor of Massachusetts, Romney had an abysmal record. Not only did his government rack up massive deficits, but it also failed to ever rank higher than 47th — out of 50 — in job creation.
His refusal to release his tax returns for the past 14 years stands as irrefutable evidence of massive tax evasion — quite possibly to the tune of many tens of millions of dollars. Why else would an Amerikkkan billionaire or mega-millionaire deposit any money in these offshore tax havens — which typically not only don’t pay interest on deposits but actually charge depositors for keeping their money there — put any money in these banks? And Romney is known to have millions squirreled away in several of these tax havens.
And his record as CEO and sole shareholder of Bain Capital — the deliberate bankrupting of several economically viable U.S. companies and the destruction and offshoring of tens of thousands of high-wage U.S. jobs — borders on treason.
Yet despite all that, there is still a very good chance he will be the next United States president — and a president whose Republican Teabaggers could have big enough majorities in both houses of Congress to ram through all kinds of legislation that will further devastate the Other 99 Percent — the poor, the working class and the middle class — further tax cuts for corporations and the very wealthy, further massive increases in military spending, more invasions of virtually defenceless Third World countries, and savage cuts to health, education and social spending.
And this could happen not only because such a vast swath of borderline illiterate Americans get most — if not all — of their “news” from purveyors of “information fraud” such as Fox (Faux) News, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and the whole cadre of right-wing talk-show idiots.
It could also happen because the Kochsucker Teabaggers and their ilk will be totally brainwashed by the flood of negative and fraudulent election ads aimed at defeating any Democrat who might be inclined to favour making banks, corporations and the superwealthy pay even a tiny bit more in taxes. Just a small handful of pampered Amerikkkan billionaires have already promised to provide almost $600 million, just among themselves, to defeat Democrats who may be entertaining such “unacceptable” notions.
And it could also happen because the vast horde of so-called “Christian” conservatives will be assured by their borderlines literate jack-in-the-pulpit preachers that Mitt Romney is indeed the man to maintain white male supremacy in Amerikkka — and to protect white male Amerikkkans from “the others” — the “niggers,” the “spics,” the “wagonburners,” the “A-rabs,” the “bitches”and other boogiemen who might not be quite as enthralled with white male supremacy. They won’t use any of those words, however, in telling their moronic flocks why they should elect Republican Teabaggers. No, they’ve finally figured out that they have to be a little more subtle, that they have to use “code words” to make their agenda sound reasonable even to Americans who can read and write. The only problem is that while the so-called “Christian” conservatives with a combined IQ lower than 2 still haven’t figured out that the IQ of almost every other American is much higher than 2, and most can see through their hypocritical “code words.”
