The great terrorist state of Israel has today acted again with impunity in illegally boarding a flotilla of ships bringing desperately needed food and medicine to the besieged inhabitants of the Gaza Strip and slaying at least 19 unarmed crewmen.
It has been years now since the Israeli government decided to turn the Gaza into the biggest and harshest concentration camp in the world.
The two million Palestinians who inhabit this desolate strip of land have been subjected not only to the constant threat of violence but to inhumane rationing of even the most vital medicines and foodstuffs.
It is perhaps the greatest ongoing criminal action by one people against another in the world today and it is going totally unchecked.
Israel’s population is barely more than seven million but the country dominates the Middle East and acts with impregnable impunity because of its incestuous relationship with the United States government.
Already, a slew of countries have recalled their ambassadors from Israel over the unconscionable attack on the aid flotilla. And the United Nations Security Council has scheduled an emergency meeting to deal with this latest Israeli-inspired atrocity.
But the Security Council will never act against Israel’s misdeeds as long as the U.S. has a veto, as it has had since the council’s founding more than 60 years ago.
The United States will never allow even the most tepid U.N. condemnation or sanctions against Israel no matter how horrific this country’s crimes against humanity.
Why is this?
It’s because the U.S. and Israel have been embraced in a tango of death ever since the U.S. started financing the Israeli state.
The United States gives Israel four billion dollars a year in outright but unneeded “foreign aid” and another four billion dollars a year in “forgiveable” military “loans.”
The Isreali government then turns around and gives about a billion dollars a year of this money to the America-Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC), one of the wealthiest and most powerful lobbies in the U.S.
AIPAC then turns around and uses this money to finance the election only of American political candidates who are willing to toe the zionist line and turn a blind eye to any Israeli wrongdoing.
And the people of Isreal are not without blame either. For decades now, the Israeli voters have elected nothing but a string of demented, right-wing warmongers to run their state.
The Jewish people should know better.
The victims themselves of the worst genocide in history at the hands of the Nazis during World War II, one might have expected them to show leadership to the world in rejecting any kind of tyranny, oppression or genocide on the part of their own leaders.
But this has not been the case. Instead, too many Isrealis – inspired by demonic Jewish fundamentalists and zionists – are not only tolerating but actually supporting this tyranny. It is as if they have learned nothing but the lust for vengeance from their own horrific historic experience.
But they are exacting vengeance against the wrong people. It was the German Nazis and not the Palestinian Muslims who tried to eradicate the Jewish people.
Alas, there will not be peace in the Middle East until Israel does learn from its past. And, alas, there will be no peace in the Middle East until the financial/military umbilical cord between Israel and the United States is permanently ruptured.
