U.S. fear mongers beware, Venezuela’s oil exploration and marketing giant, Chevron is leading the pack in deepe- sea oil exploration. And you will be left in the dust.
You can whine and complain, but all reluctantly.
Chevron is exploring in previously unexplorable depths of up to 4300 feet of water ,all the while drilling through 5 miles of rock. This goes along with my long held belief that oil is anaerobic, a self-replicating, self-rejuvenating phenomenon that we will never be short of. A substance we will retrieve as long as we work for it. Drill farther and deeper. Plate tectonics dictate that the continental plates, ( huge bodies of sinkable rock! ) float slowly around the globe slowly, changing the face of our present-day maps.
I’m no accredited scientist, but what is more fucking plausible for this movement of these continents, a floating of millions of tonnes of rock by water, or by the naturally made oil, which I definitely see as a means to move such massive objects via their ability to reduce friction.
Chevron is employing the Clear Leader, at a fee of about 500,000$ per day to do just that. Find the deposits that nobody else seems to want to find. Industry has been reluctant in deep water drilling due to the increased costs. But I believe the benefits outweigh the increased costs.
A vast tract of oil is believed to lie below the Atlantic between Brazil and Africa and is widely believed to be the find that would set the world for it’s future needs as long as we care to develop it and harvest the “ liquid gold”
The newest and most advanced rig on the market, the clear leader is reached after an hour long flight south of New Orleans into the Gulf Of Mexico. Free of 95% of other prospectors, Chevron is poised to reap the rewards there.
In May of this year, Chevron’s newest wells came online there and immediately began supplying 125,000 barrels a day to their bottom line.
So what will the future be with the U.S. that currently treats fellows like Raul Castro, and Hugo Chavez like the bastard stepchildren that they clearly aren’t and don’t deserve?
I say a lot of policy reversal and urgent ass kissing. Because as they look to pull out from severely fractured Middle East relationships for oil supply , let’s face it , it is pretty self serving, they will be increasingly pressured to seek their own reliable supplies and more “ western hemispheric” supply to fuel their own massive economy and growth.
I once had a neighbor that I despised, had absolutely no contact. And one day I had to ask him for a boost for my car. He obliged.
I hope the U.S. is as humble.
