There is a clique in the ranks of the Republican Teabaggers’ caucus in the United States Congress — their “braintrust,” in fact — that has now slithered to such a depth of depravity that even their role model and leader, Satan, might no longer want anything to do with them.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.), House Speaker John Boehner (Pa.), and House Republican Teabagger Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan, of course, all claim to be practicing “Christians.” But their actions speak much louder than their words.
I have read the entire New Testament — unlike the vast majority of so-called “Christian” conservatives — and I have yet to find anything that in any way resembles what they are trying to foist upon the semi-literate majority of Americans as “Christian” politico-economic policy.
Their “Christianity” is all about promoting hatred — hatred of women, hatred of gays, hatred of racial minorities, hatred of followers of other religions, etc. — and waging economic class warfare against poor and middle-class Americans. Of course, not having even a shred of integrity, they avoid the most vile of slurs when publicly depicting the targets of their venom, preferring instead to sooth the ears of their evil followers with carefully-selected code words and thinly-veiled innuendo. read more »
