Romney win would devastate America

I wonder how many Americans can fully comprehend just how bad things would get for the Other 99 Percent — the poor, the working class and the middle class — if Mitt The Job Killer Romney and the Republican Teabaggers won a massive victory in the November elections.
True, President Barack Obama might not be much of an improvement. But with a re-elected Obama, who would not be able to seek a third term and would not have to worry about financing his next campaign, and a Democratic Congressional majority, — perhaps dominated by “progressives” rather than Blue Dogs — self-styled “moderates” or “centrists” but really right-wingers-in-centrist-clothing — there would at least be a spark of hope that something progressive might get done. Not much, of course, but just a little bit.
Thus far, the Obama presidency has achieved absolutely nothing for anyone but the Top One Percent — the gangster banksters and the corporate robber barons — the millionaires, mega-millionaires, billionaires and mega-billionaires — the psychopathic socioeconomic elite whose insatiable greed and seeming immunity from criminal prosecution have become simply unfathomable.
Except for the occasional sweet rhetorical flourish, Obama has forgotten about the people who elected him — people from the Other 99 Percent. He has forgotten about African-Americans. He has forgotten about Hispanic Americans. He has forgotten about American Indians. He has forgotten about poor and working-class whites. He has forgotten about workers. He has forgotten about women. He has forgotten about students. He has forgotten about seniors. He has forgotten about the unemployed. He has forgotten about American families turfed out of their homes by foreclosure on the fraudulent mortgages they were lured into purchasing.
But he never forgets the Top One Percent.
The great tragedy, however, is that Mitt The Job Killer Romney would actually be much, much worse for the Other 99 Percent. read more »
